It’s been a busy 12 months for Capital’s MMA team.  This is especially true for the energetic and entertaining Emanuel “Manny” Thompson, who just won his third mixed martial arts fight at Spartyka 42 in Norfolk, VA.

Emanuel Thompson was born in 1992 in Westfield, New Jersey. He began his martial arts journey taking Taekwondo classes and he obtained his brown belt before joining the Navy in 2010. In 2014 Manny enrolled himself at Capital MMA & Elite Fitness and focused on learning Muay Thai. He competed two times before moving to Germany in 2016. While in Germany, he competed two more times in kickboxing bouts, and also began learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Upon returning to the DMV area Manny began to escalate his training and started competing in cage fights in March of 2019.

If you are interested in seeing Manny in action, he’ll be stepping back into the cage for his fourth fight on May 16th at CageZilla 61 in Ashburn, VA.
